How do I cancel my subscription?
The cancellation method depends on the platform where your subscription was purchased.
- If the subscription was purchased from our website:
Log in to your ADN account and go to your Subscription area.
Then click on “Cancel automatic renewal” so that your subscription will not renew at the next due date.
Note: If you are logged in on the mobile or tablet website, go to the “Manage account” tab, then click on the 3 horizontal white bars next to “Account information” to make the “Subscription” section appear.
- If the subscription was purchased via an Android app, follow the instructions on the following page:
Cancel, pause, or change a subscription on Google Play - If the subscription was purchased via the iOS app, follow the instructions on the following page:
If you want to cancel an Apple subscription - If the subscription was purchased via Amazon Prime Video: go to “Account and Settings” in your Amazon Prime account, then click on “Channels.” Then select the ADN channel to cancel it. Please note that canceling Prime Video will also cancel the ADN channel.
- If the subscription was purchased with a card bought from one of our partners: your subscription will automatically end at the end of the subscription period.
- If the subscription was purchased via Paypal:
Log in to the Paypal website, go to Settings (the gear icon), “Payments” tab, then “Manage automatic payments.” Select ADN and click on “Cancel” to stop future charges.
I am logged into my Google/Apple account but ADN does not appear in my list of subscriptions.
If ADN does not appear in your list of subscriptions, search for the payment receipt that was sent at the time of purchase. Finding this order confirmation email will help you identify the email address of the account in question.
Feel free to also check your other email accounts or those of people around you if you are unsure.
I don’t remember which Google/Apple account was used when I subscribed.
If you have forgotten which Google/Apple account was used for this subscription, search for the payment receipt that was sent at the time of purchase. Finding this order confirmation email will help you identify the email address of the account in question.
Feel free to also check your other email accounts or those of people around you if you are unsure.
I want to change my banking / payment information, how do I do this?
If the subscription was purchased from our website and paid by credit card, go to your My subscription area. Then click the “Update my subscription” button. Once you’re redirected to our partner Stripe’s portal, click “+ Add a Payment Method.”
If the subscription was purchased via Paypal, log in to the Paypal website, then go to the “My Wallet” tab.
If the subscription was purchased via an Android app, follow these instructions:
Add, remove, or edit your payment method on Google Play
If the subscription was purchased via an Apple app, follow these instructions:
Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods
How do I change my payment method on the website?
If you want to switch from credit card payment to Paypal or vice versa, you will need to cancel the automatic renewal of your current subscription in order to start a new one at the end of the term.
Please note that this cancellation will reset the decreasing price associated with your subscription. In this case, we invite you to contact us so that the correct discount amount can be reapplied.
How do I change my subscription plan?
If you want to change your subscription, simply log in to your account, go to the Subscription area, and click on “Update my subscription.” Then just follow the instructions displayed on your screen.
Please note, it is not possible to downgrade your subscription for a period that is already in progress.
How do I change my payment date?
The payment date for your subscription is fixed and depends on the day of your first subscription, so it cannot be changed.
However, you can cancel the renewal of your current subscription in order to start a new one on the desired date.
I was charged twice after a purchase.
Check the payment label associated with this double charge as it appears on your bank statement (e.g.: apple.com/bill, ADN ANIME DIGIT, CB Paypal, GOOGLE...).
If you see ADN ANIME DIGIT, ANIMEDIGITALNET, or AMZ Digital FRA, contact our customer service.
If you see Google, contact Google support.
If you see Apple, contact Apple support.
I subscribed via Google/Apple and the payment went through, but I still don’t have access to subscriber content.
- Go to the device that was used for your subscription.
- Check that ADN appears in the list of active subscriptions in your Google/Apple account:
- Play Store > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions on Android.
- Settings app on iOS.
- Log in to the ADN app on this device.
- Go to the “Subscribe” page in the ADN app, then click on “Restore purchases” at the bottom of the page to link this subscription to your ADN account.
I forgot to disable automatic renewal of my subscription and want a refund.
If automatic renewal was not canceled, we invite you to disable it so you won’t be charged at the next due dates (see How do I cancel my subscription).
No refund can be made in this case as you accepted the terms of our terms of use and waived your right of withdrawal when finalizing your purchase (Articles 8 and 9 of the General Terms of Sale).
I continue to be charged despite canceling the automatic renewal of my subscription.
- Log in to your account from our website.
- Go to your Subscription area and check the Current Subscription section.
If you see that a subscription is still active in this section, it means that automatic renewal has not been disabled. To stop being charged, see How do I cancel my subscription.
If there is no active subscription in this section, it is possible that this charge is linked to a subscription purchased from a different ADN account (secondary account, duplicate, family member, etc.). You can contact our customer service to find the account in question.
I get the error “some fields are not valid. Please check them and try again” when I try to subscribe.
This message means that special or accented characters were used in the “Cardholder” field (example: Raphaël Dupont).
In this case, please try again without these characters.
There are payment attempts even though my subscription has been canceled.
These payment attempts may come from Google or Apple. When a subscription taken out via the Play Store or App Store ends due to non-payment, for example, it may be temporarily suspended instead of being canceled. Since this suspension is seen as an involuntary stop, the platform will try to charge you until the payment is authorized.
To check, look for the payment label associated with these attempts as it appears on your bank statement (e.g.: apple.com/bill, ADN ANIME DIGIT, ANIMEDIGITALNET, CB Paypal, GOOGLE...).
If you see Google:
- Open the Google Play app on the device used for the purchase
- At the top right, tap the profile icon
- Tap Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions then remove ADN from the list of expired subscriptions or those with declined payment methods
If you see Apple:
- Follow these instructions:
If you want to cancel an Apple subscription
